Last updated: July 26, 2026These terms apply whenever you use Pearl Harbor Guide or book a tour, activity, or product through it. By using the site or making a booking, you are agreeing to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Who we are
Pearl Harbor Guide (“we”, “us”) is a booking platform for Pearl Harbor and Hawaii tours, activities, and related products. The tours themselves are operated by independent, licensed tour operators. We take the booking and handle payment; the operator runs the experience.
We are not affiliated with the United States Navy, the National Park Service, or the Pearl Harbor National Memorial. Information about those sites is provided for planning purposes and is not official guidance.
2. Using the site
You need to be at least 18 to make a booking. When you use the site, please do not:
- Book under a false name or use someone else’s payment method without permission.
- Scrape, copy, or republish our content, listings, or prices for a competing service.
- Attempt to break, overload, or get unauthorized access to any part of the site or its systems.
- Submit false reviews, spam, abuse, or anything unlawful through our forms.
We can suspend access or cancel a booking if we reasonably believe any of the above is happening, or if a booking looks fraudulent.
3. Bookings
A booking is confirmed when you receive a confirmation email from us, not when you submit the form. If something goes wrong on the operator’s side, for example a tour that filled up between your selection and your payment, we will tell you promptly and refund you in full.
- Please double-check names, dates, times, party size, and pickup details before you pay. Some operators cannot change these once a booking is in their system.
- Your confirmation is the ticket. Bring it on your phone or printed, along with photo ID for each adult where the tour requires it.
- Some tours are managed on the operator’s own reservation system. In those cases their booking terms also apply, and we will point you to them at checkout.
- Prices and availability shown on the site can change until a booking is confirmed.
4. Prices and payment
- Prices are in US dollars and shown per person unless stated otherwise on the listing.
- The total you see at checkout is what you pay us. Anything not included, such as separate site admission, food, or gratuities, is listed on the tour page.
- Payment is taken at the time of booking through Stripe. Your card details are handled by Stripe and never stored on our servers.
- Your bank may add a foreign transaction or currency conversion fee. That is between you and your bank.
- If a price is listed incorrectly because of an obvious error, we will contact you before charging you or will refund you in full and let you rebook at the correct price.
5. Cancellations and changes
Cancellation terms are set by the operator running the tour and are shown on the tour page and at checkout before you pay. Read them, because they vary. As a general rule:
- Most tours allow a full refund if you cancel a set number of hours before departure. That window is on the listing.
- No-shows and late arrivals are usually not refundable, since the operator has already run the tour.
- If the operator cancels, for weather, mechanical trouble, a base closure, or anything else, you get a full refund or a reschedule, your choice.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method. Banks typically take 5 to 10 business days to post them.
- To cancel or change anything, message us with your confirmation number and we will handle it with the operator.
Pearl Harbor is an active military installation. Access can be restricted at short notice for reasons outside anyone’s control. When that happens we work with the operator to reschedule or refund you.
6. Products and shipping
For physical products, shipping costs and delivery estimates are shown at checkout. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees, and title and risk pass to you on delivery. If an item arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, tell us within 30 days and we will replace or refund it.
7. On the day of your tour
- Arrive at the pickup point or meeting place at the time given in your confirmation. Operators run to a schedule and cannot always wait.
- Bag restrictions at Pearl Harbor are strict and enforced by security, not by us or the operator. Check our Plan Your Visit page before you go.
- Bring photo ID for each adult in your party.
- Tell us about mobility needs, medical conditions, dietary requirements, or anything else that affects your day when you book, so the operator can plan for it.
- Operators can refuse service to anyone who is intoxicated, unsafe, or disruptive, with no refund.
- Pearl Harbor is a memorial and a final resting place. Please treat it that way.
8. Reviews and submissions
Reviews are tied to real bookings. When you post one, you confirm it is your own honest experience and you give us permission to publish it on the site, including your first name and the date. We may remove reviews that are abusive, off-topic, contain personal information about someone else, or appear to be fake. We do not edit reviews to make them more positive.
9. Tour operators
Tours are provided by independent operators who hold their own licenses, permits, and insurance. They are responsible for the safety, conduct, and delivery of their tours, and their own terms and waivers may apply on the day. We choose who we list carefully, and we drop operators who stop meeting our standards, but we do not control how a tour is run once it starts.
If something goes wrong on a tour, tell us. We will take it up with the operator and help you sort it out.
10. Our content
The text, history articles, guides, photos, and design on this site belong to us or to the operators and photographers who licensed them to us, except where a credit says otherwise. You are welcome to read, print, and share links for your own trip planning. You may not republish substantial parts of the site commercially without our written permission.
11. Liability
We act as a booking platform. To the fullest extent allowed by law, our liability for any booking is limited to the amount you paid us for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as missed flights, non-refundable hotel nights, or other travel costs, arising from a tour that is delayed, cancelled, or does not meet your expectations.
We are also not responsible for events outside our reasonable control, including weather, sea conditions, base or memorial closures, government action, strikes, or mechanical failure.
We do our best to keep listings, prices, and visitor information accurate, but details change. Official hours, ticketing, and access rules for Pearl Harbor sites are set by the National Park Service and the Navy, and should be confirmed with them for anything critical.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Travel insurance is a good idea, and we recommend it.
12. Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of Hawaii. Before that, please talk to us. Most problems get solved with one email, and we would much rather fix something than argue about it.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force for your booking is the one published when you booked, and the date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.
